Red and Purple Gradient with Stamping: N is for: New

I have a couple of new things for this week’s A2Z series challenge prompt, for N is for new; the red polish and the stamping plate are both new.

The red is Ciaté Kitten Heels. I bought it for £1.50 in an Original Factory Shop that was closing down. It’s a lovely colour, but quite sheer, so needed 3 coats, and even then it still wasn’t opaque. I’ll definitely use it again because I love it, but will wear a coat of red undies next time!

The purple is A England Avalon, which is not new at all. I’ve had it for over two years. I chose it mainly because I wanted a polish with a shimmer, to match that of Kitten Heels.

The gradient is beautiful. Red and purple go together so well because they are analogous on the colour wheel.

I couldn’t leave it there though, because that was only 50% new. So I added some stamping using one of my new Born Pretty Store plates, BP-24. The swirly floral pattern appealed to me because I could use different parts of the image, ensuring that each nail looked slightly different.

While it is unquestionably a beautiful gradient, and a lovely overall look, the longer I wore it, the more my eyes became fixated on only seeing images of little bottoms (as evident on the ring and index nails). Ha!
